ABSTRACT
Cassava
is one of the plants containing starch. tarch content of cassava is around 83,8%. tarch of cassava can
be used as raw materials of bioethanol for alternative energy. t can also
reduce green house effect. The purpose of this research was to get the best type of microorganisms for
their capability to optimize the production of bioethanol. This
study examined the use of 10% H combined
with Aspergillus niger and Rhizopus oryzae.
The combination was assumed to increase glucose as the material to produce bioethanol through
fermentation process. it
was compared the bioethanol production between the combination of H niger, H2O–Rhizopus
oryzae and H2O–Aspergillus
niger–Rhizopus oryzae. Data
was analyzed by one way Anova and followedby Duncan analysis. it was found that highest
reducing sugar produced was 1098.3 ppm or 1.1% by Aspergillus niger. The
optimum time of yielded
ethanol was 7.1% at 72 hours of fermentation.
Key
